Lots of Walking this Weekend
North America or Europe?
I went to the NATAS travel fair at the Singapore Expo and spent around 3 hours collecting leaflets and brochures to prepare for a major holiday in 2007.
The travel fair happens twice a year (March and September), with each attempting to cover packages for the next two quarters. Unfortunately, Oct to Mar are busy months for work so I will have to leisurely go through all the stuff I collected (equivalent in weight to my weekly groceries!).
Also saw a model of the A380, the largest plane on the planet. Can't figure out how big it is?
- From conceptualisation to assembly about 6,000 engineers and technicians have worked on the A380 programme development
- Each wingspan has an area of 845sq meters that can shelter 2800 people
- It has a total volume of 1570 cubic meters, enough to accommodate 4.5 million tennis balls
- It has the height of 24.1 meters (approximately the height of 5 giraffes)
- A length of 72.6 meters (2 times the length of a blue whale)
Singapore Airlines : the first to fly A380
Mid-Autumn Lantern Festival
I also checked out the lantern festival at the Chinese Garden with friends. First time in the area. Very impressive lanterns. More photos to be uploaded on Fotopages soon.Labels: A380, Chinese Garden, expo, Lantern Festival, Mid-Autumn, NATAS, Singapore Airlines, travel
